July 9th, 7:00ET - JazzComposersPresent.com - Composer Spotlight with John La Barbera. ISJAC members are welcome to join this webinar in partnership with JazzComposersPresent.com. Hosted by Chelsea McBride, John will be presenting "Melody is the New Black". Click on Members Only for more details.
July 28th - ISJAC HANGS Los Angeles! Join ISJAC President John Beasley for a casual get-together in the city of angels. As part of our ISJAC Hangs series, this is an informal way for our community to connect in person. Exact location and time posting soon (evening). ALL are welcome!
August 26th - Protecting Your Art. In partnership with The Recording Academy, ISJAC is proud to present this webinar as a part of our Duly Noted webinar programming. Featuring a panel of industry pros, we'll dive into the best ways to copyright and protect your intellectual property and safeguard you music. More details posting soon.
September 7th - Launchpad, with JC Sanford and the Twin Cities Jazz Composers Workshop. This is an opportunity for our ISJAC Members to get their charts read, recorded and livestreamed by a professional jazz orchestra. Available for ISJAC members only, the portal for submitting your work will open soon.
September 30th - ISJAC's first ever Honors Celebration & Fundraiser. Featuring our President John Beasley and his MONKestra, this evening will acknowledge our Hall of Fame Inductees Maria Schneider, John Coltrane, Oliver Nelson, Pat Metheny and Antônio Carlos Jobim and feature world premiers of works by Geoffrey Keezer and Vanessa Perica, winners of ISJAC’s Next Decade and Fundamental Freedoms commissions. Special guests will be in attendance to both perform with the band and accept the Hall of Fame honors on behalf of our inductees. After the performance, the ISJAC Board of Directors will host a VIP cocktail party at All & Sundry, across the street from the Time Warner Center to raise a toast to our honorees and esteemed guests.
